Our PTSA Committees are....
*Freshman Advisory Committee- Sees that each advisory group has a parent sponsor that will work with the teachers to interact with the group on occasion and recognize birthdays and other special occasions so that every student gets some level of recognition in this large school.
*Hospitality Committee- Coordinates gifts/snacks for Staff Appreciation. Makes arrangements
for Principal’s, Secretary’s Day, etc. as approved. Assists Tiger Smarts with activities upon request. Holly Festival: Coordinates volunteers for a gift basket.
*Project Grad Committee- Coordinates and implements the annual Project Grad and After Prom events. Secures sites, conducts fundraisers, plans food activities and prizes, recruits parent volunteers, publicizes event, creates decorations, sells tickets, etc.
*Reflections Committee- A PTA-sponsored fine arts program that kicks off in October with a
January deadline. Coordinates program, sign ups and judging at the building level.
*Volunteer Committee- Parents provide volunteer time to physically assist with PTSA programs and events (student registration tables, fundraising tables at football games, etc., and other events as needed.)
*Parent Connection Committee- Sees that each new family to LSHS has a sponsor that will help guide them into all aspects of Our Tiger family..
