LSHS PTSA/PROJECT GRAD
FIREWORKS STAND FUND-RAISER
As you know on Graduation Night LSHS PTSA sponsors the Project Grad “Party of the Year” for
seniors to attend as a fun, safe drug and alcohol free alternative filled with food, games and entertainment. Our biggest fund-raiser for this event occurs this summer as we sell fireworksin a tent in the LSHS parking lot from Monday, June 30th through Friday, July 4th.
We need 6 parents per grade level to act as captains!!
What are the responsibilities of a captain?
· Come to a 1 hour meeting/training – meet other parents/captains, learn how to run the
cash registers, gas up the generator, and good info on all the fireworks we’re selling! This will tentatively be scheduled during the evening the week of June 18th
· Act as a Shift Manager for two 8 hour shifts or four 4 hour shifts – ensuring everyone volunteering (parents and students) has a job and understands how to do it!
· Come to a wrap party to discuss Lessons Learned and what ideas you have for the Project Grad Committee (and volunteer to have a role on the committee if you’d like!) Tentatively planned for an evening the week of July 9th!
What you don’t have to worry about – finding volunteers! Our goal will be to have every LSHS Parent and student volunteer for one shift during this fundraiser – please watch for schedule/sign-up information coming in the next few weeks!! So as captain– you’re leading the charge and we need you now!
